Clearings
Last week was RUOK? day.
I shared a post on LinkedIn that shared a wish.
I want to share that wish with you too.
My wish for you is that today (and every day), you find a small clearing. And in that small clearing, you put down the weight of your aloneness. Because you are not alone.
I am trying to get better at creating clearings in my life.
Here are a few of the ways I have been doing that...
Talking a hot bath in the evening.
Walking on the beach (and not listening to a podcast or audiobook at the same time).
Taking a few minutes while walking my dog to sit on the grass and cuddle her.
Closing my eyes in the Spring sun and taking a few deep breaths.
What small clearing can you take time to dwell in?
If you need some more inspiration, this episode of the Healthy-ish podcast shares some great ideas for rituals that can help us to wake-up to our true nature, and to our connectedness.
“Do not try to save
the whole world
or do anything grandiose.
Instead, create
a clearing
in the dense forest
of your life
and wait there
patiently,
until the song
that is your life
falls into your own cupped hands
and you recognize and greet it.”
